Napoleon Hill's Outwitting The Devil-The Hypnotic Rhythm


In Napoleon Hills description of drifters and non-drifters he explains that the drifters are taken over by the devil (or in modern explanation , the ego) Napoleon Hill also talks about hypnotic rhythm and how if we continue to let negative or positive thoughts take over, such things become permanent.

Because of the law of hypnotic rhythm we drift into the same thoughts of lack and despair. We drift into the same relationships and go through the same patterns at our work place. None of which ever truly makes us happy. In order to break the law of hypnotic rhythm and defeat the Devil we must think for ourselves and stop letting our mind control us.


Napoleon Hill talk about the 7 principles to attain spiritual,mental, and physical freedom:


1: Definiteness of purpose (Definiteness would interpret to Set Intentions) Remember this book was Written in 1938

2:Mastery over self

3:Learning from adversity

4:Controlling environmental Influence (associations)

5: Time (Giving your attention to positive thoughts rather then negative and attaining wisdom)

6:Harmony (acting with definiteness of purpose to become the dominating influence of your own mental, spiritual, and physical environment)

7:Caution (thinking through your plan before you act)



















This first thing he talks about is Definiteness of purpose and to explain what he is talking about is setting intentions. Setting Intentions for the day can be a very powerful tool to achieving your goals. When we set intentions, we are vibration resonating at that frequency and therefore becoming what is need to achieve it. The best method I found for this is meditation. If you want to start a business, but don't know where to start, set the intention to find out and watch it unfold in front of your eyes. (This stuff works!)


Next is the Mastery over self. In order to manifest all our desires we must first break the habit of drifting. We break the habit of drifting by consciously bringing our attention back to the present moment. If you break the belief that you must drift off into thinking then you are breaking the habit or the hypnotic rhythm. You are changing the hypnotic rhythm to become something different. This is the first set to rewiring your brain and changing your conditioning to think a different way.


The Third is learning from adversary. Right now we are in the middle of a pandemic so how ironic that I personally read this book right now, but its not ironic. (That is a synchronicity if I've ever seen it) Napoleon Hill talks about how the great depression and pandemic are just the hypnotic rhythm in action. We unconsciously are going through the same cycles, the same patterns now in 2020, that we were in 1938 during the great depression. If we can learn consciously through painful times we can learn how to not let it pull us back in.

The Next is Controlling environment influence. Next time your at work and you want to know what your current vibration is look around you and ask yourself what is going on around you. Is it absolute chaos and you don't understand why? You could be out of alignment. We must understand that We can only attract what we are. If we are constantly negative and complaining about our lives, then that is the kind of people we will attract into our lives. If we however become a source of light and positivity for others, then our environment will start to change and we will influence others to be the same rather they are conscious or not. We cannot expect to manifest a different life without some changes. If you want change in your life, then change your hypnotic rhythm.


Time is an illusion, It does not exist, however for the sake of this blog, lets talk about time and positive thinking. If we are able to slowly change our hard wiring to think more positively we are able to change our reality. You can use this in your daily life, but start small. Try to think about what it would be like to have an extra 200 dollars in your wallet then watch it manifest. The more you do this and change your thinking the more you natural being a more happy and positive person. If you want you can instead turn your attention to the present moment.


Next is Harmony. Can we find a way to harmonize our environment even if it seems chaotic? If you want to manifest something in your life you have to be as if in the here and now. How in the world is that possible when everything is falling apart you ask? The fact that your asking that question is exactly the problem. You create your own reality and you just need to see yourself as an individual with definiteness of purpose and you will attract more purpose driven people into your life. It may be slow going and you might not see it right away because there is a delayed response in the universe when we manifest, but it will come to fruition. It is the Law of Attraction it always comes true for you.

Caution is very simple. If you are starting a new business be careful about what you spend your money or invest into. Be careful about the next move. Let the universe deliver it. You don't need to worry about it and drift into thinking. Stay focused and stay present. When it does come be careful and take precautions to make sure your not making the wrong moves of course.
